Two of my favorite words

Completely off-topic, a weekend exchange on Twitter reminded me of two of my favorite words which I’ve long wanted to use together.

Here’s the result:

Their romance began with elation,
tending to infatuation,
   but she quickly grew weary
   of his earnest but dreary
ergodic osculation.
